BLACK WOMEN UNITED hosts the 1st Annual “Ain’t I A Woman” March. The purpose of this unprecedented event is to give all Black women a platform to express themselves and fight for their civil rights.

As Black women, whether you're a straight Black woman, a trans Black woman, a religious, spritual, or atheist Black woman, we are ALL constantly having to reaffirm our place in the world and why we deserve to be here.

Historically and presently, efforts have been made to 'put us in our place' and to stop us from speaking our mind. The concept of 'Ain't I a Woman' (AIAW) is a challenge, but also an affirmation. It is not a question, but rather a powerful statement or declaration of our womanhood and demanding all of the respect, adoration, and acceptance that should come with it.

This will be a venue for us to speak our minds. To rejoice, cry, heal, and love. There will be political elements, but there will also be art. There will be uncomfortable topics addressed, but there will be joyous moments. The march and rally will swell with the ancestral energy of overcoming, inspiring, and empowering elements that we as black women are genetically made up of.

This an all-inclusive event and Black women from ALL walks of life are encouraged to attend.
